Cindy Edminston is the Outreach House's Kitchen Manager.

Outreach House residents like the food here, and Cindy is responsible for this success. Cindy had been the cook since the first resident arrived in April, 1997. She learned cooking at age 4 and ran her own cake decorating business at 13. She grew up on a Canaan farm, studying at Mascoma High School and learning her trade at the Hartford votech. Before Outreach House she worked at Riverside Grill and then became assistant manager of Au Bon Pain at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She has even been an electrical apprentice and a tractor mechanic, so her diverse talents can be called on to help maintain our 100-year-old building. Also as Administrative Associate, Cindy helps June Bowlin keep things running smoothly.

 

 

 

 

Outreach House passes surprise inspection with flying colors.

Outreach House is licensed by the State of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Resources. Each year inspectors arrive unannounced to inspect the facilities and the manner of care proviced. Besides a physical inspection of the facilities, the State reviews record keeping, staff performance reviews, and privacy policies. The official report states "no deficiencies", and informally the inspectors gave very positive remarks. Thanks for the efforts of June Bowlin and the staff at Outreach House.

 

 

 

 

Dartmouth students help keep Outreach House attractive.

Five student volunteers from the Tucker Foundation of Dartmouth College showed up this Spring. They washed the porch, vacuumed the basement, and transplanted flowers.
